Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Catering Server at Gonzaga University. You will deliver efficient, attentive service for a range of entrées, appetizers, and beverages while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.

The position requires a High School diploma (GED acceptable) and 0–1 year related experience. Flexible shifts and a comprehensive benefits package are available; training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• May require a valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM or equivalent) and compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or changes.
• Provide recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine; answer questions on menu items and allergens.
• Take and relay orders accurately; confirm and process them in correct sequence.
• Check items for quality and presentation; ensure consistent, attractive plating.
• Monitor guest needs; respond to requests and address concerns professionally.
• Significant walking or mobility; stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
