Job Location: Flagstaff, AZ 86001
Salary Range: $21.00 Hourly
Position: Special Event Banquet Server at Forest Highlands Country Club

Responsibilities

• Assist with food and table prep before the event begins.
• Run food from the kitchen to banquets (event location) on demand.
• Set up buffets with food presentation standards and best practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
• Present a clean and professional image at all times.
• Maintain composure in fast paced environment.
• Tray service skills required. Cocktail trays and large oval tray service essential.
• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs.
• Communicate with catering manager as well as other servers and event organizers.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.
• Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, ensuring all condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
• Room setup, including moving tables and chairs.
• Extreme attention to detail and quality presentations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of High School or High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Lift and carry serving trays which can weigh up to 35 lbs.
• Previous wait staff experience a plus.
• Knowledge of catering practices preferred.
• Clean background check.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times while working flexible hours with an enthusiastic personality.
• Availability to work flexible shifts which may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
