Meyer Jabara Hotels & Hilton Ocala seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering revenue by selling event spaces and services for social events and off‑premise catering. You will manage the full client lifecycle from inquiry to execution, ensuring exceptional service and strong financial results.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in hospitality sales, and negotiation skills; Delphi/Word/Excel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hotel, restaurant, or catering sales experience.
• Two-year degree or higher preferred.
• Proven sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Experience with Delphi, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve catering sales goals and generate new business through direct sales, tours, and outreach.
• Negotiate food & beverage pricing, event space, and hotel services.
• Prepare and manage contracts, BEOs, banquet checks, and final billing.
• Serve as the primary client contact from inquiry through event date.
• Maintain records in Delphi and coordinate with leadership for seamless events.
• Assist clients with menu selection and event planning with hotel culinary knowledge.
• Ensure invoices are accurate and payments align with policies.
• Complete Annual Performance Agreements and Monthly Action Plans.

Position Overview

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating catering revenue by selling the hotel’s event spaces and catering services for social events, as well as off‑premise catering opportunities. This role manages the full client lifecycle—from initial inquiry through event execution—ensuring exceptional service, strong financial results, and unforgettable guest experiences.

Work Schedule & Availability

(Required)Primary work schedule: Tuesday – Saturday. Flexible work hours are required. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules and business needs. Schedule may vary depending on operational demands and live event execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve established catering sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales, generate new catering business through direct sales efforts, networking, and outside sales calls, conduct tours of the hotel and banquet facilities for prospective clients.
• Negotiate food and beverage pricing, event space, and hotel services.
• Prepare and manage catering contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), banquet checks, and final event billing.
• Serve as the primary client contact from inquiry through event date.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records in Delphi, collaborate with hotel leadership and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Assist clients with menu selection and event planning using strong knowledge of hotel facilities and culinary offerings.
• Ensure invoices are accurate and payments are obtained in accordance with hotel policies.
• Complete Annual Performance Agreements and Monthly Action Plans.
