Job description

Cavallo Point is seeking a dynamic Catering Sales Manager to join our team! This role involves selling and planning weddings and social events, including:

• Negotiating and contracting business
• Menu planning
• Guiding clients and maintaining vendor relationships
• Facilitating communication with Lodge staff

The Catering Sales Manager will also host site inspections, tastings, and planning meetings, working collaboratively with banquet staff and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maximizing Banquet Food & Beverage and Meeting Room Rental revenues
• Maintaining strong customer relationships
• Menu planning and personalized client service
• Operating graciously under pressure
• Drafting and reviewing contracts
• Communicating effectively with hotel staff before, during, and after events
• Collaborating with sales, catering, and banquets teams

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, possess excellent customer service and communication skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 2 years of hotel catering/convention services or similar experience
• Hotel Management degree is a plus

This is a management, full-time position with a pay scale starting at $83,000 plus bonus potential.
