About the role

Are you a fearless closer who lives for the chase, thrives in the field, and turns every 'no' into a 'yes'? We’re looking for a powerhouse Catering Sales Manager to drive explosive growth for our off-site catering business across corporate and community markets.

This is a boots-on-the-ground role — 90% fieldwork, 10% office time. You’ll be out building relationships with hotels, venues, businesses, and event planners, creating opportunities by opening doors, then handing them off to our Operations team for closing. Your mission: aggressively grow our brand, smash sales goals, and together we’ll deliver unforgettable client experiences.

Events can be off-site — weddings, corporate events, private celebrations — but can also be hosted in our restaurant locations if the client prefers.

We want someone fearless and laser-focused on results to build, hunt, and dominate new markets. Hospitality or events background? Ideal. Hustle, heart, grit, and an unstoppable drive to win are absolutely non-negotiable.

The ideal candidate is a relentless, self-starting sales professional who craves fieldwork, pursues leads with intensity, and never backs down from a challenge — turning every 'no' into an opportunity. They are masterful at relationship-building, self-motivated, resourceful, follow through on commitments and take ownership of their goals without needing constant oversight.

They are comfortable spending most of their time out in the field, with minimal need for office time beyond planning and coordination. Above all, they are passionate about dramatically growing the business and expanding the company's market presence.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow our off-site catering business and on-site events.
  • Attend meetings, site visits, and industry events in order to build brand awareness, develop new business relationships and proactively identify and pursue new leads with wedding venues, corporate event planners, and catering companies, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and venue managers to generate quality leads and drive sales, satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
  • Proactively conduct outreach, such as in-person visits to hotels, businesses, event venues, and caterers, content marketing, advertising, email campaigns, networking, cold and warm calling, etc to promote company services and brand visibility.
  • Upon identifying a qualified lead, promptly hand off the information to the Catering Operations team for quoting and further follow-up, then continue sourcing new opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Track performance, report on sales activity, and collaborate with leadership and marketing.
  • Bring fresh ideas and strategies to identify untapped markets and opportunities, helping to shape and further develop the sales role as the business grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in outside sales, catering sales, or event sales, specifically in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering/event CRM systems (e.g., Tripleseat).
  • Knowledge of Bay Area venues and the event landscape is a major plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Comfort with managing competing priorities and adapting to evolving client needs.

Compensation: Salary range of $85,000 to $110,000, based on skills and experience, plus 3% commission on food and beverage sales. Additional commission on rentals is available when rentals generate profit.

Schedule: Full Time (40 hours per week), Flexible Schedule, Monday to Friday

Primary Work Location:

  • The worksite is primarily in the field, traveling to locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, however this position also requires periodic visits to our corporate headquarters in Campbell, CA.
  • Reliable transportation is required, and mileage will be reimbursed according to company policy.
