Job summary

The Platinum Hotel & Spa is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to plan and organize all logistical aspects of catered functions for 10-200 guests, with heavy emphasis on weddings and social events. You will identify catering opportunities, develop sales strategies, and conduct site visits to prospective clients.

Responsibilities include preparing BEOs, event orders, coordinating with departments for setup and breakdown, and managing multiple projects while ensuring top-level service.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or related hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of F&B production and presentation of food and beverage items.
• Knowledge of meeting room capacities and banquet setup.
• Strong selling, negotiating and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Amadeus/Delphi knowledge preferred.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must be 21.

The Platinum Hotel & Spa seeks a Catering Sales Manager to plan and organize all logistical aspects of catered functions for 10-200 guests with heavy emphasis on weddings and social events. Salary range:$60k-$65k plus production incentive.

What you’ll be doing:

• Identify and pursue new catering opportunities to increase revenue
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
• Conduct site visits and presentations to potential clients
• Ensure BEOs being prepared/written are following SOP guidelines
• Review and prepare timely event orders to successfully set up culinary and operations
• Coordinate with other departments to set up service and breakdown of all functions and confirm that all necessary equipment is on hand (both in-house and rental)
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

What we are looking for:

• Prior experience & demonstrated ambition in a same or similar industry
• Knowledge of F&B products, proper preparation, and presentation of food and beverage items
• Knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual, and any other pertinent details as they relate to function and room set-up
• Must have proven selling, negotiating, and presentation skills and strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft application tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Amadeus/Delphi knowledge preferred
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
• Must be 21
