Job summary

The Platinum Hotel in Las Vegas is seeking a driven catering sales professional to expand revenue through new opportunities and strategic planning. You will lead site visits, client presentations, and coordination with operations to ensure flawless events.

Ideal candidates will have strong sales, presentation, and organizational skills, with F&B knowledge and availability to work nights and weekends. The role is located on-site in Las Vegas and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven selling, negotiating, and presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of F&B products, preparation and presentation.
• Experience with banquet setup, AV, and meeting room capacities.
• Willing to work nights and weekends; 21+

Responsibilities

Description

Salary range:$58k-$63k plus production incentive.

What you'll be doing:

• Identify and pursue new catering opportunities to increase revenue


• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets


• Conduct site visits and presentations to potential clients


• Ensure BEOs being prepared/written are following SOP guidelines


• Review and prepare timely event orders to successfully set up culinary and operations


• Coordinate with other departments to set up service and breakdown of all functions and confirm that all necessary equipment is on hand (both in-house and rental)


• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

What we are looking for:

• Prior experience & demonstrated ambition in a same or similar industry


• Knowledge of F&B products, proper preparation, and presentation of food and beverage items


• Knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual, and any other pertinent details as they relate to function and room set-up


• Must have proven selling, negotiating, and presentation skills and strong attention to detail


• Proficient in Microsoft application tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook


• Amadeus/Delphi knowledge preferred


• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends


• Must be 21
