B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is seeking an Area Director of Catering Sales to oversee catering departments for our flagship hotels and accelerate event bookings as new spaces become available.

You will operate as a senior catering professional reporting to the Area Director of Sales, driving revenue and market opportunities across multiple properties. The ideal candidate has a background in catering sales and hospitality, with strong leadership, client relations, and a track record of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• Membership in catering and event organizations such as NACE and MPI desired.
• Basic Microsoft Office and Delphi experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Sales/Revenue Maximization: achieve catering revenue goals through food, beverage, room rental and A/V sales with proactive calls.
• Cost Control: manage catering expenses and labor, assist with budgets and procurement guidelines.
• People Management: interview, hire, coach, and develop catering sales staff.
• Guest Service: ensure client satisfaction and timely response to needs and issues.
• Technical Acumen: use Delphi and sales tools to forecast and report data.
• Training: train catering employees and maintain training records.
• Safety/Risk Management: maintain standards and safe work environment.
• Self/Workload Management: communicate effectively and participate in meetings.
