General Tso’s Restaurant & Catering in the Dunwoody area is seeking team members for catering prep. This role focuses on large-batch preparation, packing trays, and ensuring every order is accurate and ready for pickup or delivery.

You must start early, handle heavy trays, and maintain food safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The position may involve some weekend shifts; experience in catering or high-volume kitchens is preferred, and training is provided.

Responsabilidades

• Large-batch prep: prepare and cook food in catering quantities to recipes and portion standards.
• Packing trays: pack trays, sauces, utensils, napkins, and labels for each order.
• Order accuracy: verify items, counts, dietary labels, name and time against the ticket before delivery.
• Early shifts: arrive on time for early starts to have orders ready for lunch deliveries.
• Cleanup and food safety: follow temperature, labeling and sanitation rules and keep prep area clean.
• Report any missing ingredients or order changes to the Catering Coordinator or manager.

Location: Dunwoody, GA, 4957 Winters Chapel Rd, Suite B. We hire within about a 40-minute drive (no traffic).

Job type: Full time or part time (W-2). Shifts: early mornings, starting about 6:00 AM on catering days, Monday to Friday with some weekends.

Pay: $15 to $18 per hour depending on experience (W-2). Overtime is paid at 1.5x after 40 hours in a week.

About the job

You are on the team that gets corporate catering orders ready. This is a catering-focused role, separate from the restaurant wok line: large-batch prep, packing trays and bags, and making sure every order is accurate and on time for pickup or delivery.

What you'll do

• Large-batch prep: prep and cook food in catering quantities (trays and pans) to our recipes and portion standards.
• Packing trays: pack hot and cold trays, sauces, utensils, napkins, and labels for each order.
• Order accuracy: check every order against the ticket (items, counts, dietary labels, name and time) before it goes to the driver, and sign off on a checklist.
• Early shifts: be on time for early starts so orders are ready ahead of lunch deliveries.
• Cleanup and food safety: follow temperature, labeling and sanitation rules; keep the catering prep area clean; help with deliveries from suppliers and stocking.
• Tell the Catering Coordinator or manager right away about any missing ingredient, shortage, or change to an order.

Preferred: catering, banquet, prep, or high-volume kitchen experience; food handler card (preferred, not required). Entry-level welcome if you are reliable and detail-focused.
