Job summary

UNT Dining Services, Avesta/ Catering is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead catering events and floor operations across campus venues in Denton. You will ensure flawless event execution, maintain cleanliness, and manage staff in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality service aligned with UNT Dining standards.

The role requires supervisory experience in food service, strong teamwork, and the ability to read BEOs and standard menus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in institutional or commercial food preparation, including one year of supervisory experience.
Must be Food Safe Certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months.
Experience in catering, food service, hospitality, or retail dining operations.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and understanding of executing Catering events to include deliveries, food and beverage breaks, seated plated events, receptions, galas and cookouts.
Read, understand, extract information and execute events as detailed in BEOs using all processes and systems in place.
Effectively schedule staffing for events per standards set.
Ensure policies of time, attendance, uniform and meal policies are followed.
Drive university vehicles and transport materials as required for events.
