Job summary

Hightop Hospitality is seeking a hands-on Catering Operations & Events Manager to lead execution across our multi-brand catering division. You will own events in the final planning phase, ensuring they are operationally sound and executed to a high standard.

You will translate event plans into seamless guest experiences, collaborating with sales, culinary, and venue partners to build clear, executable plans for service teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catering or event operations experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience supervising service staff during live events (servers, bartenders, leads).
• Strong understanding of food and bar service, and presentation standards.
• Excellent communication and on-site leadership under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Finalize event details with clients, confirming timelines, menus, layouts, bar offerings, and service expectations.
• Review sales-provided event details for operational feasibility.
• Create and finalize BEOs and event documentation for culinary and service teams.
• Develop staffing plans based on event size and service style.
• Coordinate logistics across food production, bar, rentals, and service teams.
• Oversee packing, staging, and load-out to ensure events leave organized.
• Identify gaps or risks in advance and resolve them before event day.
• Oversee end-to-end on-site execution with accountability for guest experience.
• Direct and support Event Leads, Servers, and Bartenders during setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure components arrive on-site in good condition and set up efficiently.
