Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead on-site catering operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth event execution. You will oversee quality, inventory, and staff performance across multiple events, coordinating with the catering management team to deliver seamless service.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in catering or event planning, knowledge of BEOs, and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility for varied hours, including nights and holidays, is essential.

Qualifications

• Two-three years catering operations and/or event planning preferred.
• BEO knowledge and execution preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, welcoming experiences for every guest and client.
• Oversee quality, product levels and inventory.
• Document and discipline staff per company policies and procedures.
• Fulfill guest’s needs quickly and efficiently and resolve complaints effectively.
• Oversee setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of each catered event.
• Execute back of the house, front of the house and side work duties for productivity.
• Interpret and execute BEOs to high standards.
• Possess expert knowledge of menus, presentation, and service techniques.
• Perform strenuous manual labor as required.
• Supervise and train staff for all departments.
• Manage rental orders, buffet cards, and diagrams for each event.
