About the job Catering Operations Assistant

At the same time, Food Trends has invested into sophisticated procedures and technology to become one of the most efficiently-run catering enterprises in the tri-state area. Between Manhattan and NJ the facilities total in over 30,000 sq ft. Our attention to detail and customer service and grown to serving over 1,000 customers daily. Our clients include (but are not limited to) Fortune 500 corporations, fashion houses, weddings, universities and historic venues. It is an exciting time as we are expanding our Tri-State presence!

The Operations Assistant position will ensure that all orders are properly produced and all goods are ordered for the entire company. The role is responsible for communicating with the chefs at each station, managing inventory sheets, and ordering with vendors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This job includes (but is not limited to):

  • Order inventory items from
  • Find new vendors and costing prices and quality of products between vendor
  • Inventory Management
  • Light Bookkeeping (entering invoices into system)
  • Item Management in our ERP system
  • Assist in end of day routing of deliveries
  • Perform end-of-day checks for all sales invoices and print out orders and production sheets for each food production station
  • Ensure inspections on HVAC, hoods, health department certification etc.
  • May Include: Light HR Assistance with describing HR policies in Spanish (if proficient in Spanish)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone with extreme attention to detail
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of Operations or Office experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Initiative to learn and apply new concepts
