Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is seeking a Catering Manager at University of Missouri, St. Louis, MO. You will lead daily catering operations, coordinate events, and collaborate with culinary teams to ensure superb service and profitable execution.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years in catering management, with strong client service and team leadership skills. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in catering management or similar hospitality role.
• Experience with food and beverage operations, including menu planning and food service management.
• Knowledge of health, safety requirements for food service.
• Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and analyzing revenue.
• Strong organizational and event coordination skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Preferred: ServSafe certification.
• Experience partnering with executive chefs in high-volume catering.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand catering needs, event requirements and preferences.
• Manage catering orders and maintain clear client communication through planning and execution.
• Prepare BEOs, quotes and other event documentation.
• Coordinate all aspects of events to meet client specs and Quest standards.
• Handle client communications, contracts and billing with excellent service.
• Plan, coordinate and execute events from planning to completion.
• Lead the catering department and direct hourly leads and staff.
• Manage budgets, costs and revenue to support profitable operations.
