Join to apply for the Catering Manager role at Lake Quivira Country Club

This position is responsible for all day-to-day catering services. Oversee all administrative and operational aspects of preparing banquet event orders, meeting with members and clients, and working catered events. Work with banquet and other departments to ensure that members’ and guests’ expectations are exceeded and the highest quality food and service are delivered.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Helping member clients arrange banquets, luncheons, meetings, weddings, dances, and other social events; obtaining pertinent information needed for guest planning.
  2. Working with the Executive Chef to determine menus, pricing, and other details for catered events; ensuring that banquet menu offerings are current and reflect member interests.
  3. Coordinating event planning with production, service, and housekeeping staff; arranging for menus, decorations, entertainment, and special requests.
  4. Inspecting finished arrangements and overseeing guest greeting and service.
  5. Managing scheduling for banquet service staff and overseeing event execution.
  6. Handling customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  7. Assisting with banquet event order completion and financial management, including budgeting and reviewing financial reports.
  8. Representing members’ needs on club committees and obtaining permits for events.
  9. Planning staff training, diagramming room layouts, and managing billing and payments.
  10. Serving as liaison between kitchen, service, and management staff; maintaining the club’s master calendar and function book.
  11. Performing special projects as assigned.
