Job summary

Eataly Chicago is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server to greet guests, describe the menu, and take orders with precision using our POS system. You will coordinate with the front and back of house to ensure timely service, including wine pours and timely reset of tables.

The role requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Paid time off and perks accompany this essential guest experience job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies.
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system.
• Communicates with hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware.
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Part-time

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the GM of Restaurants and Restaurant Floor Managers.

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is USD $16.60 hourly, plus tips.
