Job Title: Catering Lead at Corner Bakery

Description

The Catering Lead supervises all catering operations within a single unit. Responsibilities include managing catering orders, scheduling drivers, overseeing catering production and preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Lead interacts directly with outside customers and communicates with guests daily.

As the Catering Lead, you will supervise the preparation, presentation, and service of food. The role involves close interaction with catering and retail staff, as well as restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Accept and modify orders over the phone using POS.
  2. Enter online orders into POS.
  3. Resolve guest concerns with manager approval.
  4. Assign deliveries to catering employees.
  5. Begin and complete baking and food preparation.
  6. Assemble catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls.
  7. Make deliveries by vehicle and/or foot.
  8. Prepare breakfast and lunch.
  9. Perform clean-up duties and empty trash as required.
  10. Distribute catering tips daily.
  11. Execute catering sales initiatives, including customer callbacks, menu drops, community event coordination, food tastings, and identifying sales leads through territory canvassing.
  12. Perform secondary functions such as expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking.
  13. Maintain FOH displays and condiment stations, check bathrooms, bus tables, and prepare food as per specifications.
  14. Maintain accurate cash flow and financial transaction integrity.
  15. Prepare and organize food for delivery to guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or in the process of completing it.
  • Must complete CBC driver training, pass MVR checks, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably at least 3 months of guest service experience, ideally in restaurant or retail environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
