Description

The Catering Lead supervises total catering operations in one unit. This position includes duties such as catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Lead works with outside customers and communicates directly with guests daily.

The Catering Lead supervises the preparation, presentation, and service of food. The role involves close interaction with catering and retail employees, as well as restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Accepts and modifies orders over the phone using POS.
  • Enters online orders into POS.
  • Resolves guest concerns with manager approval.
  • Assigns deliveries to catering employees.
  • Begins and completes baking/food preparation.
  • Assembles catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls.
  • Makes deliveries by vehicle and/or foot.
  • Responsible for breakfast and lunch preparation.
  • Responsible for clean-up duties and trash disposal.
  • Distributes catering tips daily.
  • Executes Catering Sales Initiatives, including customer callbacks, menu drops, community event coordination, food tastings, and sales leads through territory canvassing.
  • Performs secondary functions such as expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking.

  • Maintains FOH displays and condiment stations.
  • Checks bathrooms and busses tables.
  • Prepares food to specifications and order requests.
  • Maintains accurate cash flow and financial transaction integrity.
  • Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or in progress.
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass MVR, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably at least 3 months’ experience in guest service, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Must read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
