Job Title: Catering Lead at Corner Bakery

Description

The Catering Lead supervises total catering operations in one unit. Responsibilities include catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Lead works directly with outside customers and guests daily, ensuring excellent service.

The role involves supervising the preparation, presentation, and service of food, interacting closely with catering and retail staff, as well as restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Accept and modify orders over the phone using POS systems.
  2. Enter online orders into POS.
  3. Resolve guest concerns with managerial approval.
  4. Assign deliveries to catering employees.
  5. Begin and complete baking/food preparation.
  6. Assemble catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls.
  7. Make deliveries by vehicle and/or foot.
  8. Prepare breakfast and lunch.
  9. Responsible for clean-up duties, including trash disposal.
  10. Distribute catering tips daily.
  11. Execute Catering Sales Initiatives, such as customer callbacks, menu drops, community event coordination, food tastings, and sales lead generation through territory canvassing.
  12. Perform secondary functions like expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking.
  13. Maintain attractive FOH displays and condiment stations.
  14. Check bathrooms and bus tables.
  15. Prepare food according to specifications and order requests.
  16. Maintain accurate cash flow and financial transaction integrity.
  17. Organize food for delivery to guests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or in progress.
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass MVR checks, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably 3+ months experience in guest service, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
