The Role

As a Catering Team Lead you will assist with the execution of the Catering by building our brand and guest loyalty. As a Catering Team Lead, you will define and drive our Catering business through personalizing Catering to each guest. You will work beside a dynamic team assisting the Catering Captain with total Catering department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, drive optimal catering team performance, and maintain all Catering operations
  • Responsible for engaging in conversations with guests and ensuring each guest receives an experience
  • Drives sales through technical expertise, fast paced momentum, and accuracy
  • Continually train and develop expertise in the Catering department
  • Assists with work duties across the Catering department including pulling Catering, providing quick, efficient, timely, accurate product selection, choosing freshest quality, checking for code dates, accurate pricing, quality packing and bagging of all products and review of order to ensure accurate payment
  • Monitors workflow of Catering orders to guarantee orders are ready on-time for pickup and communicates immediately any issues with the Catering Team Captain
  • Implements process for product substitution and notification to guest of any changes
  • Maintains a regular cleaning and maintenance program for Catering areas and equipment with organization of holding area and regular temperature checks of product holding for guests
  • Responsible to report to Catering Team Captain accurate billing and payment of each Catering order
  • Identify Ecommerce trends for guest needs and expectations and collaborates with Team Captain to deliver value and accelerate growth

Qualifications

  • Experience with catering operations preferred
  • Proven history of consistent engaging Customer Service experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis and decision making
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions (Walking 90% and sitting 10% of day)
  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas and/or products
  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
  • Operating equipment (baler, compactor, hand jack, six wheeler, shopping carts, checkout)
  • Exposure to weather/outdoor elements
