Job summary

City Barbeque is seeking a Catering Coordinator/Field Manager in Cary, NC to plan, schedule, and execute full-service and drop-off catering events. This role works closely with the Catering Operations Manager to promote our mission, vision, values, and culture, including our award-winning, slow-smoked barbeque.

Evening and weekend availability is required with schedule flexibility based on demand. The position involves leading hourly teammates, overseeing event setup, and ensuring flawless guest

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Background check.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organization.
• Schedule flexibility based on demand.
• Commitment to excellence and integrity when unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, coordinates and supervises hourly teammates and catering associates for events.
• Substitutes for the Catering Operations Manager as lead person for full-service events.
• Ensures orders are on time and correct; prepares teams for setup and execution.
• Plans staffing with Catering Operations Manager; participates in hiring input.
• Maintains drop sheets and updates weekly; posts them in prep area.
• Ensures accurate invoices and paperwork for events (invoices, drop sheets, contracts, tax docs).
• Checks calendars and systems for correct invoices and drop sheets.
• Communicates special-item requirements with restaurant management.
• Ensures equipment, areas, and vehicles are clean and organized; monitors staff cleanliness.
• Reports equipment repairs to Catering Operations Manager.
