Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Catering Service Attendant in Atlanta to organize, set up, and deliver catering for on- and off-campus events. You will provide prompt, courteous service, aiming to exceed guest expectations during events.

You will interact with the Catering Manager and dining staff, guiding clients through event delivery and setup. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, efficiency, and attentive service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.
• Required experience: One year of job-related experience.
• Preferred qualifications: Certifications or licenses (SERV Safe Food Handling; TiPS; Valid State Issued Driver's License).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the daily schedule of events and follows Banquet Order detail.
• Responsible for event food and equipment delivery including load-up, load-in, set up, break down, and return of equipment.
• Assembles and arranges banquet tables, buffet lines, dining tables, or other fixtures for assigned events/services.
• Completes event pulls of equipment and supplies in preparation of events.
• Delivers food and beverages to guests or to other appropriate locations.
• Prepares and serves alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to customers or guests.
• Collects and cleans catering or banquet equipment, including serving trays, chafers, utensils, plates, and glassware.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
