Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Boston is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to serve as the primary liaison between clients and the food and beverage team, guiding relationships from planning through event completion and ensuring exceptional service while achieving business goals.

The role leads client meetings, coordinates menus, and drives revenue opportunities across a dynamic hospitality environment at the Thomas M. Menino Convention Center.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic math, computer, and administrative skills.
• Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and navigate stairs.
• Ability to use computers and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in person.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Manage client timelines, contracts, and payments.
• Guide clients through the planning process, including menu and beverage selections.
• Conduct client meetings and site visits.
• Communicate client expectations and event details clearly to internal teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, vendors, and internal partners.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and promote profitable catering services.
• Obtain client feedback and use it to improve service and operations.
• Coordinate and execute catering services that meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Ensure menus, promotions, and programs are executed according to Levy standards.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure event quality standards are met.
• Promote Heartfelt Hospitality and consistent service standards.
• Support and communicate company and location initiatives.
• Accurately utilize Levy systems and technology.
• Manage assigned sales, revenue, and cost goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment collection.
• Complete required reporting, forecasting, and event documentation.
• Support month-end processes and departmental reporting.
• Follow Levy standards, policies, safety requirements, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members as appropriate.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
