Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC at Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK is seeking a Catering & Events Coordinator to oversee all catering activities and events. The role requires daily client contact and strong coordination across banquets, menus, and staff to deliver high-quality service.

You will work with clients to understand needs, track event performance and expenditures, and maintain safety and cost controls.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years catering & events coordinating experience.
Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification.
Demonstrated knowledge of event management software.
Experience with sales reports POS transactions.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Responsibilities

Ensure dining activities are provided in a high quality, cost-effective manner.
Plan menus and allocate foods; manage surpluses and leftovers.
Lead events staff and coordinate catering activities.
Coordinate all aspects of catering activities and events.
Work with clients to understand needs and preferences.
Track performance, forecasts, and expenditures for optimum efficiency and profits.
Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown.
Provide exceptional guest service during events.
Maintain safety programs and promote new services.
Improve quality of assigned events activities.
