Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sunrise - Sawgrass Mills seeks a Director of Catering to drive the catering business across sales and events. You will lead catering sales strategies, set revenue targets, forecast performance, and collaborate with Sales, Culinary, Banquets, and Finance to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in banquet or catering management or related hospitality role.
• Proven track record of achieving catering sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear sales objectives, performance expectations, accountabilities, and action plans for the catering discipline.
• Execute inquiry, qualification, proposal, negotiation, contracting, and closing process for catering business.
• Drive catering revenue and ensure annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals are achieved or exceeded.
• Lead BEO meetings, pre-conference, operational, and post-event reviews.
• Own the catering revenue forecast and provide accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual projections.
• Analyze pace, pickup, trends, need dates, and market conditions to identify revenue opportunities and risks.
• Monitor conversion, average check, pace, booking patterns, and business mix to increase revenue and profitability.
• Develop customized menus and experiences based on client preferences and budget.
• Represent the hotel at community/industry events to build reputation.
• Develop promotions, packages, and partnerships to generate incremental catering revenue.
• Other duties as assigned.
