Job summary

The Catering Events Specialist at The College of William & Mary is based in Williamsburg, VA. You will supervise and support office functions, manage payroll and accounting basics, and oversee sales reporting and event invoicing. The role requires strong customer service and precise data handling in a fast-paced catering environment.

Compensation is hourly in the range of $20.00 to $24.00 with benefits. There is no fixed application window; the role closes after a qualified candidate is chosen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience preferred; 4 years experience.
• 3+ years sales experience
• 3+ years customer service
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications
• Requires basic accounting skills
• Must have developed language skills to write announcements, letters, summaries, and reports

Responsibilities

• Cross reference systems for price accuracy
• Complete processing of catering orders
• Send and manage invoices for events paid by check
• Manage invoices for events paid by credit card
• Process invoices
• Provide excellent customer service
• Other duties as assigned
