Banquet Server at Sodexo, Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center, provides food and beverage service for catered events, from meetings to banquets. Work shifts vary, with on-call part‑time employment and a pay range of $13.78 to $18.61 per hour.

You’ll assist with setup, service, and breakdown under supervisors, maintaining clean setups and timely service. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior banquet/food service experience, and valid alcohol service

Competenze

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous banquet, catering, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS certification or equivalent.
• A food handler certification may be required depending on state/local regulations.

Mansioni

• Provide food and beverage services to guests at catered events including meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners, and special functions.
• Serve a variety of service styles from casual buffets to formal plated meals and passed service.
• Assist with setup, service execution, and breakdown under Banquet Captain/Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, stations, and work areas.
• Clear tables, reset settings, and maintain presentation standards.
