Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Catering Director to lead a high-volume, premiere catering department in Washington, DC. You will develop and drive catering solutions to meet customer needs and work closely with the Executive Chef on menu development for diverse events.

The role includes hiring and training staff, managing labor and food costs, and collaborating with Marketing to grow revenue and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five years of catering leadership experience, including two years in management.
• Experience booking, costing menu items, pricing contracts, and sourcing temporary help and equipment.
• Must be experienced with computers and standard office software.
• ServSafe certified or equivalent food-safety credential.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events to ensure seamless execution and outstanding customer happiness.
• Develop and maintain the catering marketing plan, offering clients comprehensive event planning services and detailed menu development.
