Position Title: Catering Director

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Job Summary

We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team at Restaurant Associates at JPMC 270 Park. Featuring vibrant food halls, bustling cafes, curated retail experiences, and world-class catering, this high-profile location will stand tall among NY's finest. As a Catering Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that catering operations meet required standards and financial goals. This position requires Monday through Friday availability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develops and implements catering service standards and standards of operation for the department.
2. Identifies client/guest needs and interacts in a positive, proactive manner.
3. Responsible for ensuring that customer complaints are appropriately handled and rectified.
4. Manages daily catered functions.
5. Oversees the maintenance of adequate equipment, product, and decoration inventories.
6. Plans menus, layout, decor, and booking entertainment (when appropriate) for catered events.
7. Operates within the budget.
8. Manages a team - hires, trains, coaches, counsels and provides progressive discipline, as needed.
9. Collaborates and supports Director of Catering Services and Executive Chef in planning events.
10. Maintains accurate tracking and billing systems for catered events.
11. Disseminates information to all concerned department heads and staff members through preparation and distribution of detailed function sheets at regularly scheduled intervals.
12. Oversees sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
2. Strong knowledge of food and industry trends.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing catering events in a high volume, luxury F&B environment.
4. ServSafe certification, recommended.
5. Superior communication and problem-solving/strategizing skills.
6. Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
