Job summary

HUNGRY is seeking a Catering Delivery Driver (Contractor) in Gardena, CA to transport food from vendors to client sites and support event setup. This role runs on specific days (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and requires using your own vehicle, valid license and insurance, with pickups at a Gardena hub and deliveries to Culver City and El Segundo.

You’ll coordinate with the HUNGRY team, communicate clearly with clients, handle equipment up to 50 lbs, and maintain a polished, client-facing presence.

The Gig

• Days of Operations: Tuesdays & Thursdays from approximately 8:30am-12pm
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
• Pick up equipment at hub in Gardena, pick up food from vendor in Culver City, transport to client site in El Segundo and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• 18+ years of age
• Authorized to work in the US

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus

Compensation

Gig-Dependent (on average, equivalent to approximately $22-24/hr + 100% of Client Tips)
