Hy-Vee is seeking a Catering Coordinator for the Market Grille to own the full catering experience—from initial consultations to event day execution. You will write detailed orders, coordinate across kitchen, bakery, and deli, and ensure every event runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of similar or related work experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers
• Meet with customers, write detailed orders, and coordinate across departments (kitchen, bakery, deli)
• Set and uphold department standards for service, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance, and profitability
• Contact businesses to share information about Hy-Vee catering and develop contracts for exclusive events
• Determine pricing, prepare bills, issue invoices, and oversee bookkeeping procedures
• Develop and maintain standard catering practices and conduct quality control checks
• Organize store shows and bridal/holiday events and coordinate with events staff
