Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and various cooking methods.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Ability to acquire a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and other utensils.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and related equipment.
• Cooks using various methods (baking, roasting, broiling, steaming).
• Arranges and portions food according to guidelines; maintains food safety and sanitation.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment; maintains guest interactions with a positive demeanor.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures and protects company assets.
