Job summary

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies in Richmond, is hiring both full-time and part-time Catering Cooks. You will join a scratch kitchen environment, support the chef, and help plate and serve at events across the Richmond area.

We value teamwork, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to food safety. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be available to work 30-50 hours for full-time or flexible with weekends for part-time.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology
• 3+ years kitchen experience
• Previous catering cooking experience is a plus
• Neat and professional appearance
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• For full-time, able to work 30-50 hours on weekdays and weekends
• For part-time, flexible scheduling on weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef in preparing dishes in our scratch kitchen by washing, chopping, weighing, and garnishing ingredients.
• Clean, set up, and break down kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Label and date all food products and follow food safety rules for proper storage.
• Occasionally work on-site at events to plate food and operate stations (carving, sandwiches, etc.).
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment as needed.
• Maintain steady adherence to food safety guidelines.
