Job summary

Fohandboh in Nashville is seeking a skilled catering chef to prepare and deliver menu items for corporate events, private parties, weddings, and special occasions. You will work with the catering manager to ensure flawless execution and high standards.

This role requires experience in large-scale food service, strong time management, and the ability to work flexible hours. You will help with menu planning, food safety, and on-site event setup, contributing to a professional team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, line cook, or catering chef is preferred.
• Experience preparing food for large groups or events is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute menu items for catered events (corporate, private parties, weddings, and special occasions).
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development for catering menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
• Coordinate food preparation timelines to ensure on-time service for events.
• Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe guidelines preferred).
• Assist with food inventory, ordering, and prep planning for upcoming events.
• Work closely with the catering manager and event staff to ensure smooth event execution.
• Pack, transport, and assist with food setup for off-site catering events when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and prep area.
