Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a CAPTAIN, CATERING to coordinate staff and deliver exceptional catered functions on campus. You will schedule catering staff, assist with food preparation and service, drive delivery as needed, interact with clients to resolve issues, and ensure HACCP standards and proper presentation at events.

This is a full‑time on‑site role with opportunities for growth within a national dining services

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience required.
• Must have a valid driver license and, where required by state law, a food handler permit and/or alcohol servers permit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering staff schedules to ensure functions are delivered, served and cleared promptly.
• Prepare and serve food at scheduled functions under supervision.
• May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.
• Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup, changes and problem resolution.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
