Job summary

Compass Group USA, in partnership with Levy, is seeking a skilled Catering Bartender for part-time, event-based work at Chicago-area venues. You’ll deliver premium beverage service, manage orders with handheld POS, and ensure compliance with alcohol-service laws.

Ideal candidates have ServSafe Food Handling and ServSafe Alcohol certifications, a BASSET license, and strong multitasking in fast-paced settings. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Certification in ServSafe Food Handling is required.
• ServSafe Alcohol Certification required.
• Illinois BASSET Liquor License required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages while complying with alcohol service laws.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional atmosphere.
• Use POS systems/handheld devices to process orders and payments accurately.
• Track beverage consumption and monitor inventory during events.
• Maintain a clean and stocked bar throughout the event.
• Handle all transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
