Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Catering Attendant Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service at arena events. You will greet guests warmly, coordinate service with the catering team, and uphold a professional appearance and demeanor throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include setting up catering areas, maintaining equipment, and ensuring cleanliness while adhering to dress code and safety standards. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Compensation: $19.00 an hour

Classification: Part Time

Position Description:

The Catering Attendant Server is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage event day service to Arena guests, while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all catering equipment
• Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
• Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each event
• Fulfill the service per each Event Orders (EO), as well as Catering Service Standards
• Must adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
• Obtain assigned workstation at beginning of shift
• Set up tables, top chairs and tables for catered events as assigned by the Catering Supervisor and Manager in a timely and efficient manner
• Set all glassware silverware, dinnerware and additional set-up necessities in a timely manner
• Ensure that all Catered areas have been left in a sanitary and organized manner
• Serve all functions in a professional, courteous, efficient manner
• Break down all Catering areas after event
• Adheres to the utmost client confidentiality
• Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Training/Education Requirements:

• Must be a minimum 21 years of age
• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
• Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

License/Certificate:

• Food Handlers Card A valid food handler's card is required for this position. The company will cover the cost of the training and compensate employees for the time spent completing the course. The certification must be obtained within 30 days of the hire date.
• TIPS Certified

Ability to:

• Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamwork

• Ability to interact with all levels of customers and staff including management
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 25 lbs. Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, on call in addition to normal business hours. Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later. Must be able to pass the background.
• Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
