Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time Catering Attendant Server for Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. You will deliver exceptional food & beverage service to guests with a professional, friendly approach, supporting event operations and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the venue.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, a 21+ age minimum, a valid food handler’s card, and the ability to follow strict service standards and dress code.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
• Highschool Diploma or GED.
• Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues.
• Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Catering Attendant Server is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage event day service to Arena guests, while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience.
• Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all catering equipment
• Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
• Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each event
• Fulfill the service per each Event Orders (EO), as well as Catering Service Standards
• Must adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
• Obtain assigned workstation at beginning of shift
• Set up tables, top chairs and tables for catered events as assigned by the Catering Supervisor and Manager in a timely and efficient manner
• Set all glassware silverware, dinnerware and additional set-up necessities in a timely manner
• Ensure that all Catered areas have been left in a sanitary and organized manner
• Serve all functions in a professional, courteous, efficient manner
• Break down all Catering areas after event
• Adheres to the utmost client confidentiality
• Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct
• Other duties as assigned

License/Certificate

Food Handlers Card A valid food handler's card is required for this position. The company will cover the cost of the training and compensate employees for the time spent completing the course. The certification must be obtained within 30 days of the hire date.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 25 lbs.
• Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, on call in addition to normal business hours.
• Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later.
• Must be able to pass the background.
• Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
