We have an opening for part-time CATERING ATTENDANT positions at the Detroit Institute of Arts, located at 5200 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time; Tuesday through Saturday. Hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No prior experience required.

Pay Rate: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain. Responsibilities include setting up and serving at functions, cleaning, returning leftover food and equipment, and ensuring quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles and delivers food and supplies for catered functions.
• Logs and maintains food temperatures.
• Arranges tables, decorations, buffet setups, and serves food and beverages.
• Cleans after events, returns equipment, and maintains the catering area.
• Provides courteous service and maintains knowledge of menu and products.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment following safety policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain or possess a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit as required by law.
