Minimum rate of pay: $15.59 PLUS Daily PAY
Position Purpose:
Nursing Resource Pool:
Patient companions (sitters, attendants) perform specific patient care activities as assigned by the patient's RN considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs.
· Setting up food tray, assist with eating
· Assisting patient with basic hygiene needs (bathing, brushing teeth)
· Offering fluids
· Accompanying patient on walks
· Assisting patient to bathroom or chair
· Providing Diversionary activities
· Replacing nasal cannula
· Re-applying intermittent compression devises (ICDs or SCDs)
Patient Companions will remain with, and observe the assigned patient at all times. Patient must be in direct observation. Companions will arrange meal and break time with the patient's nurse to ensure that the patient is never unattended.
Shifts Available: 7 am-3:30pm; 3pm-11:30pm, 11 pm-7:30am
Status Available: Full-time, Part-time
Every Other Weekend and Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE
· Education: High school diploma and CPR or BLS Certification
· Experience: Able to maintain professionalism and self-control in difficult or stressful conditions.
