Job summary

County Community Hospital, Invergordon, part of NHS Scotland, seeks a 25-hour Catering Assistant/Cook to support the senior cook, working on a rotational basis from 07:30 to 18:00 across all seven days.

You will assist with the preparation of meals for patients and staff, and assume responsibility for running the catering service in the senior cook's absence, while demonstrating good communication and organisational skills.

A 25HR CATERING ASSISTANT/COOK POST WORKING A VARIETY OF HOURS BETWEEN 07.30AM – 6.00PM MONDAY – SUNDAY (5/7 ON A ROTATIONAL BASIS) HAS ARISEN WITHIN OUR BUSY KITCHEN IN COUNTY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, INVERGORDON.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL WORK AS PART OF A TEAM ASSISTING THE SENIOR COOK IN THE PREPARATION OF ALL PATIENT AND STAFF MEALS ASSUMING FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE RUNNING OF THE CATERING SERVICE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE SENIOR COOK.

APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE PREVIOUS COOKING EXPERINECE IN A SIMILAR ENVIRONMENT CITY & GUILDS/SCPTVEC/SVQ LEVEL 3 OR EQUIVALANT.
