Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at Clifton Hospital. You will help ensure patients, staff and visitors receive a high standard of food service, working 12:00pm–6:45pm, five days out of seven on a rota. This is a temporary role with initial 4 weeks and potential extension.

You will operate within a busy catering team, support meal service and maintain cleanliness with a strong emphasis on food hygiene and teamwork. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Good communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
• Understanding of food hygiene practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service.
• Serving meals and refreshments to patients and staff.
• Collecting and clearing trays.
• Operating and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas.
• Pot washing and general kitchen cleaning duties.

Location: Clifton Hospital
Hours: 12:00pm - 6:45pm, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends on a rota basis)
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks initially, with the potential to be extended
