Job summary

Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to help set up and run events, load and unload supplies, and coordinate with clients. You will ensure timely setup and respond to guest questions during events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of catering experience, with the ability to work 7am–9pm, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Active Driver's license in good standing.
• One year related catering experience.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all set up is accurate and completed in a timely manner for scheduled events; interacts and coordinates set up needs with other departments.
• Loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies onto and off catering vehicles.
• Communicates and works effectively with clients regarding catering requests.
• Answering guests’ catering-related questions during events and addressing any complaints.
• Labels, dates and rotates all food products in catering pantry.

Schedule & Pay

• Full Time, 40 hours weekly
• Hours vary based on catering events but will fall between 7am to 9pm, including weekends and holidays
• Pay: $19.00/hour
