Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Category Manager to support category initiatives and supplier relationships within the Poway operations. You will coordinate with planners, sales teams, and brokers to optimize assortment, pricing, and local promotional activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in retail or distribution, with strong Excel and cross-functional collaboration skills. Travel is expected to be modest as part of supplier reviews and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential job functions.
• 3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Coordinate with planners, brokers, sales and customer service teams.
• Promote local assortment to meet company goals.
• Drive supplier negotiations and manage Earned Income programs.
• Assist in training and guidance to OpCo Sales Specialists.
• Review market pricing and collaborate with Revenue Management.
