Job summary

Sysco in the United States seeks a Category Manager to support category initiatives, optimize assortments, and collaborate with sales, suppliers, and brokers to meet company goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution.
• Strong Excel skills and negotiating ability.

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management initiatives within assigned categories.
• Support corporate core suppliers and ensure category success.
• Communicate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales team, and customer service.
• Promote local assortment to achieve company goals.
• Manage local supplier and broker relationships.
• Provide input and guidance to OpCo Sales Specialist.
• Facilitate corporate assortment training as required.
• Conduct supplier reviews and negotiations using best practices.
• Negotiate supplier-funded pricing and Earned Income programs.
• Drive results on focus categories and support promotions and selling events.
• Direct line of contact for local sales.
• Create new item and vendor records.
• Drive Sysco Brand sales and pricing integrity with RevMan team.
