Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Category/Merchandising professional to collaborate with Category Managers on comprehensive business plans. You will drive vendor promotions, manage pricing, and ensure promotional accuracy across stores, while maintaining strong cross‑functional communication and financial accountability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in marketing or category management, with proficiency in Excel and Nielsen tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Marketing, or related field or equivalent
• Two years’ experience in marketing, category management, store leadership
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Nielsen Category Management tools; purchasing systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with Category CEO to execute category business plans aligned with company goals.
• Manage promotional offer process and ensure vendor submissions meet P&L expectations.
• Build relationships with vendors for timely contract submissions and financial objectives.
• Oversee seasonal/promotional inventory for corporate retail stores to support demand.
• Support item life cycle management with launches and exits for assigned categories.
• Maintain Not on File process as directed by category manager(s).
• Assist cross-functional teams with ad proofing by compiling notes for Marketing, DC Sales, and Ad Groups.
• Research and resolve store pricing issues related to promotions.
