Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Category Manager/Marketing professional to partner with Category Managers in building and executing comprehensive category business plans for assigned categories, including assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelf placement.

You will manage the promotional offer process, align vendor submissions with P&L goals, and maintain strong vendor relationships to deliver financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, finance or marketing or equivalent.
• Two years of marketing, category management, or store leadership experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Nielsen tools and purchasing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Category CEO to execute category business plans covering assortment, pricing, promotion and shelf placement.
• Manage promotional offers process ensuring vendor submissions meet P&L expectations.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for timely contract submissions and financial objectives.
• Oversee seasonal/promotional inventory for corporate retail stores to support demand.
• Support item life cycle management through innovation launches and exit strategies.
• Maintain Not on File process as directed by category managers.
• Assist ad proofing by compiling notes for cross-functional teams.
• Research and resolve store pricing issues related to promotions.
