Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking an Analyst, Category Strategy & Insights in Chicago to translate shopper, POS and syndicated data into actionable category recommendations. You will build space, pricing and merchandising insights and tell customer-ready stories using Power BI and PowerPoint.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, managing multiple analyses, and delivering timely insights that inform assortment, shelving, and promotional decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated analytical capability with large datasets and clear insights.
• Experience with retail POS, syndicated, and/or panel data and related analytics (Circana, Numerator, Power BI).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to build audience-ready storylines in PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs in a newly formed role/team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine reporting and ad hoc analyses using customer, syndicated, and panel data.
• Analyze shopper behavior and category dynamics, including purchase frequency, penetration, cross-shop, and demographics.
• Integrate multiple data sources to develop a holistic view of category performance.
• Translate analyses into clear stories using PowerPoint and visualization tools (Power BI).
• Develop recommendations on distribution, assortment, shelving/space productivity, pricing, and promotions.
• Partner with customer teams and internal stakeholders to align on objectives and deliver insights.
• Contribute to team capability by improving reporting and insight frameworks.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines with discipline.
