Job summary

US Foods in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Category Manager to implement the division category strategy across multiple Distribution Centers. You will shape local assortment, analyze penetration, and drive profitable growth in assigned areas.

Collaborate with culinary teams, sales staff, and vendors, coordinate training, and support bids and onboarding of customers. A four-year business degree and 7+ years in category management are preferred; strong Excel/PowerPoint skills are required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of category management experience in food service or manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate within a matrix organization and drive change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement area category strategy across multiple Distribution Centers.
• Review Area product assortment; identify slow, dead SKUs and growth opportunities.
• Support Area and DC sales staff with assortment updates and vendor relations.
• Facilitate training and new product introductions with DSS and sales teams; align messaging.
• Support FSQA inquiries and assist with major Area-specific bids and customer onboarding.
