Job summary

US Foods is seeking a senior Category Manager to implement area-specific category strategies across multiple Distribution Centers. You will optimize assortment, manage DWOs, and align local needs with national strategy, while coordinating with culinary, sales, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities include leading market data gathering, driving profitable SKU performance, and supporting FSQA inquiries and major account bids.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of category management experience with some project management experience preferred.
• Must operate effectively within a matrix organization and drive organizational transformations.

Responsibilities

• Develop implementation plan for category strategy customized for multiple Distribution Centers.
• Review Area product assortment, identify growth opportunities, and manage DWOs and conversions.
• Gather local market data and report new product opportunities with data on competitors.
• Facilitate product training and new product introductions with sales staff and culinary team.
• Support FSQA inquiries for the assigned Area and assist with major account bids.
